The Trade Marketing co-ordinator will be responsible for creating, managing and co-ordinating all trade marketing activities and activities on behalf of the sales team.
Major Accountabilities – Key Performance Areas:
- Support the sales team to ensure there is a brand presence with new and existing clients of YFM.
- Supporting the sales team with client relationship building initiatives.
- Highlight possible opportunities that exist in the industry that will create brand awareness.
- Manage and co-ordinate all trade events and activations.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Assist and support sales in the execution of their trade marketing strategies
- Provide creative ideas and input when needed.
- Assist in ensuring all printed collateral to clients and agencies conform to a standard look and feel and reflect the brand identity of YFM.
- Co-ordinate a trade newsletter.
- Planning and implementation of trade promotional plans, which will drive awareness of brand and increase airtime demand.
- Manage and coordinate the planning and execution of all trade events/shows including internal sales workshops, incentive events and client functions.
- Mange and implement various events including budgeting, giveaways, accommodation, flights, agenda, invites and running orders.
- Manage trade marketing budgets.
- Managing the trade marketing calendar.
- Complete any other task as instructed by MD.
Education: Matric and relevant marketing diploma and/or degree would be preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing. Preferably from a radio broadcast industry.

- An understanding of the broadcast sales environment.
- Must be available outside of normal working hours – this position requires the individual to attend events after hours, weekends and public holidays as and when requested. Working hours will vary according to business requirements.
- Understanding of integrated advertising campaign strategies and tactics.
- Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and shift priorities as organizational demands required.
- Ability to work as a team player.
