An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/ B-degree or higher) in Accounting or Financial Management; A minimum of 1-year experience in a Financial Accounting environment; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. Qualification/ Completed course within Financial Management. Willingness to regularly travel as and when required.
Effective budget administration; Revenue and expenditure control; Payment voucher control; Creditors; LOGIS payments; Journal Transactions; Asset and liability accounts; Cash and banking; Revenue and Receivables; Form control and knowledge; Costing.
Knowledge of the following: Financial norms and standards (Public Finance Management Act, National Treasury Regulations and Provincial Treasury Instructions) Financial Systems (LOGIS and BAS); Drafting of Financial Statements; Skills needed: Proven computer literacy; Problem Solving; Decision Making; Technical proficiency; Written and verbal communication skills.
R 321 543 per annum (Salary level 8).
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
