Position Purpose:
Provide overall leadership as it relates to all activities and business-related initiatives for the Marketing Portfolio within the
region and ensuring that the necessary marketing principles are implemented and aligned with the national imperative of the
portfolio.
Provides a broad range of communications and marketing support to the region and responsible for strategic direction and
execution of all internal and external communications and all necessary marketing initiatives including not limited to:
Responsible for marketing all Real Estate Assets in the Region.
Conducting relevant research to inform Regional Leasing Strategies
Responsible for driving all non-GLA revenue for the Region
Responsible for events and promotions of the portfolio Establishing and maintaining relevant contact with key regional
stakeholders
Position outputs:
Assist in identifying and developing Customer Relationship Management plans.
Draft advertising materials promoting the Regional Portfolio
Develop brand guidelines, and any other material necessary to undertake the execution of the role aligned to Group Brand
Guidelines and ensure consistent adherence to guidelines for all marketing materials and activities.
Maintains branding and visual identity guidelines in line with group CI
Conduct appropriate market research on competitive services and firms.
Create and update collateral, presentations, brochures, product sheets, fact sheets, case studies, white papers, web content,
newsletters, signage and ads
Creates various marketing materials to be used across various media platforms, developing creative concepts for
consideration.
Constantly explore, recommend, use and optimize communication methods, vehicles and technologies to engage with
various audience
Plan, organize, execute and manage events including staff events, sponsorships and CSI etc.
Developing the marketing strategy for any retail real estate assets
Creating retail marketing budgets, ensuring accuracy of captured data and sound marketing principles are adhere to
Assist with budget variations and budget reporting
Deliver on departments objectives
Responsible for creating and delivering sales strategies for the Retail Portfolio and driving non-GLA revenue. Develop future
growth, and provide vision, direction and leadership for non-GLA revenue.
To develop alternative income strategies, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
To identify new or potential revenue streams in existing and new portfolios
To increase market share in alternative income across the portfolio
To maximize alternative income opportunities in new business development
To analyses sales statistics to determine business growth potential
To manage market research to retain competitive market insights
Strategic planning and formulation of Retail Portfolio Marketing and Communication Strategy to be executed within scope,
budget, and stipulated timelines.
Efficient supply chain management and relationship building with marketing services providers.
Oversee all Non-GLA activities and align regional approach with TP national non-GLA strategy.
Compilation and management of all real estate asset portfolio marketing budgets.
Oversee the execution of Market Research on various properties when and where required.Support Property Management in
community stakeholder relationship management.
Assist TP regionally and nationally in the formulation of policies and terms of reference documents relating to rural and urban
stakeholder relationship management.
Manage and maintain solid relationships with Clients, through strategic relationship management activities.
Manage tenant interaction strategy.Oversee proposal compilation for “new marketing opportunities “(development
marketing).
Oversee and manage appointed marketing agencies on retail sites, through performance management processes.
Compilation of monthly and bi-monthly portfolio marketing PropCO reports.
To keep abreast of developments within the non-GLA industry and secure effective strategic networks for market intelligence,
informed decision making as well as competitive advantage.
Represent Transnet Properties at industry events.
Qualifications & Experience:
3-year degree/diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, or related fields (NQF 7).
5-years’ experience in various forms of Marketing and Communications, at least 2 of which should be in management
position.
Experience in Real Estate Industry and related certificates and qualification would be advantageous. A proven and
demonstrable network in the Real Estate Industry is essential.
Experience managing non-GLA function on a diverse property portfolio (essential)
