This Managing Editor role has been identified to undertake work within the Phoenix 3000 project where we are clearing rights and permissions for various titles.

As a Managing Editor, you will:

• Work with and liaise with the external Content Team (Content Developers and Liaisons) regarding the scope of work

• Manage a list of titles in collaboration with the Content Team

• Control the flow of work in progress and provide daily and/or weekly status reports

• Participate in daily/weekly project scrums with the Content Team and the internal Pearson team

• Work with and liaise with the external typesetters (Straive) to check corrections and image replacements

• Traffic files between Straive and the Content Team

• Assign relevant tasks to various stakeholders using JIRA (JIRA is a project management system – training will be provided)

• Communicate with the Content Team with the aim of clarifying production-related issues, such as artwork, page proofs, permissions

• Assist the Content Team with markups and/or proof checking during pre-production

• Sign off the final PDF

• Instruct the typesetter (Straive) to supply packaged files according to the Pearson guidelines
