Summary of role:

• Plan, manage and administer the development, implementation, and enforcement of the Group's risk and compliance programme, to include establishing risk tolerance policies and guideleines
• Develop and implement business continuity plans enterprise-wide with ensuring maximum protection of the organisation's assets

Key Performance Areas:

• Identify Risk and Compliance Gaps
• Develop Risk and Compliance Policy Framework
• Involve Stakeholders
• Risk and Compliance Reporting and Governance
• Financial and Budget Management
• Define and implement optimal risk and compliance organisational structure
• Identify, define and implement group risk and compliance specific competencies
• Implement an effective departmental performance and linked reward and recognition management strategy
• Implement an effective learning and upskilling strategy

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree in legal preferable)
• 5 - 7 Years experience with sound business experence in Risk and Compliance SADC and East Africa
• Operational experience in large/medium businesses within multi-country African context, as well as multinational with strong Government/stakeholder structure interaction
