Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 Qualification with Pure Mathematics and Accounting
• Cost and Management Accounting degree or equivalent
• Completed articles will be advantageous

Skills Requirements:

• Computer literate including SAP and MS Office, strong presentations skills will be advantageous
• Good administration, communication and interpersonal skills
• Supervisory skills
• 5 Years’ experience in accounting / costing in a mining industry
• Good understanding and demonstration of accounting principles
• Payroll experience will be advantageous
• Coupa and in particular accounts payable experience will be advantageous
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting will be advantageous

Job Objectives

The incumbent will be responsible for:

• Cost and management accounting, including data analysis and reporting
• Execute monthly checks and balancing of financial records
• Managing and reporting of the monthly cost closing process
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, including assisting departments with strategical planning
• Management and control of the accounts payable function at plant level including liaising with vendors and Shared Services Accounts Payable teams in resolving queries
• Supervising the time and attendance and payroll department.
• Analysing trends and compilation of monthly reports
• Responsible for reviewing and improving controls within the costing environment.
