What Will You Do as an Accountant?

• Maintain GL accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Balance GL accounts by reconciling entries.
• Balance general ledger by daily trial balance maintenance
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Debtors:
• Collections
• Invoicing
• Liaising with clients
• Creditors:
• Capturing
• Reconciliations
• Liaising with suppliers
• Cashbook Maintenance
• Capturing
• Reconciliations
• Payments
• Assist with documents for tender applications and vendor applications
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register
• Payroll reconciliations
• Cashflow forecasting
• Foreign exchange rates monitoring
• Assisting in the budgeting process
• Responsible for monthly Exco reports

Who Do You Need to Be as an Accountant?

• Finance Degree (Preferable)
• Knowledge of IFRS (Preferable)
• Microsoft Office
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to prepare and interrogate recons
• Deadline Driven
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexible hours over month-end
• Valid driver’s License and own transport
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role
